Canvass of Election Results

The Ionia County Board of Canvassers will begin canvassing the results of the August 4, 2026 Primary Election on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 9:00AM in the multipurpose room in the Ionia County Courthouse, located at 100 W. Main Street, Ionia, MI 48846.

CITY OF ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS

A public hearing will be held by the City of Belding Zoning Board of Appeals for the purpose of consideration of a request for a Non-Use Dimensional Variance for property located at 1166 N. State Road, City of Belding, Ionia County, Michigan, submitted by Jefferey A. Tallman, requesting to build a 30’ x 40’ pole barn with 14’ sidewalls in the front yard of said property. The public hearing will be held:

1. Consideration of a request for a Non-Use Dimensional Variance for property located at 1166 N. State Road, City of Belding, Ionia County, Michigan, submitted by Jefferey A. Tallman, requesting to build a 30’ x 40’ pole barn with 14’ sidewalls in the front yard of said property.

Members of the public are invited to attend and may comment on requests for variances. The application and supporting documents may be viewed at City Hall, 120 S. Pleasant Street, Belding, MI during normal business hours. Any written comments need to be provided to the City Clerk at least seven (7) days prior to the Public Hearing.

If special accommodations are needed to participate in this public hearing, please call the City at least three (3) days in advance.
